What is electro acupuncture?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like traditional acupuncture, electro-acupuncture uses needles that are placed in the same places. The needles are then connected through electrodes to a device that produces an electric stimulus. The current of the device is of low voltage (3-15V) and the electrical stimulus is controlled in intensity and frequency. Thus, the needles stimulate the selected points continuously, resulting in analgesia, muscle relaxation, and optimal recovery. It has also been revealed to help reduce inflammation in your body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electro acupuncture triggers your sympathetic nerve fibers. By triggering these fibers, your body releases endogenous opioids such as endorphins, which help reduce inflammation. Activated nerve fibers can also help relieve the feeling of persistent pain. Making electro-acupuncture a good treatment for chronic pain and anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studies have also found that electro acupuncture can help your body release mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into your bloodstream. MSCs are stem cells that are found mainly in your bone marrow. MSC’s help your body create different types of tissues. They also have healing properties.<\/p>\n\n\n
